” I believe that art is too important to be left to full-time or professional artists. There is an ‘artist’ in all of us which needs to be drawn out. It needs to come forth and enrich and colour the way we think and act. Too often, it remains crippled, satisfied with half measures and mediocrity, and disenchantment. This is why I love to teach art and conduct life drawing classes for people of all walks of life and all ages. For it is through the artist within us that we can re-enchant our life worlds and hanker after a vision that has no name. As Plato so wisely said, “without vision, the people perish” (Dialogues). “
